Moulson Scores as Sabres Fall to Sens in Shootout

Hey everyone, Kyle here with a quick recap of tonight's game.  Again, TL;DR version below.

Sabres lose in shootout. Matt Moulson scores (what?). Lehner makes good saves.

Even with a continuation of their points streak against division opponents, the Sabres took a loss against the Senators tonight in a very hard-fought battle. Buffalo was without hot scorer, Evander Kane, because due to breaking a team rule of missing practice after a night of attending the NBA All-Star Game. The score was 1-1 until hitting the shootout.  Goals made tonight were by Senators' Dzingel, below,

And the Sabres'....Matt Moulson? Yup, you got it. Moulson scores on a beauty of a pass from his roomie, Jack. Watch it if you don't believe me. This is Matt's 5th (his first in 44 games) on the season, and his teammates couldn't have been happier for him.  Hopefully with this monkey off his back, he will start to produce even more, but maybe that's the optimist in me.

The best part of the night was watching both Robin Lehner and Craig Anderson work a little magic, showing that they ran the ice tonight.  Anderson faced 39 shots, while Lehner faced 25, with one of those saves hyping Dan DunLeavy, check it out.

This was a decent game by both teams, showing their weaknesses and highlighting their netminders. Next game is against the Blue Jackets this Friday, who is also trying to fight their way out of the bottom.
