Tyrod Taylor Reportedly Named Starting Quarterback

It has been reported today that the Buffalo Bills will start Tyrod Taylor at quarterback.

Taylor has been the Baltimore Ravens backup quarterback for four years, studying behind Super Bowl champion Joe Flacco. Now, Taylor gets his own chance.

The scrambling quarterback entered the competition as a relatively unknown player and a long shot for the job. However he has done enough to earn the job over Matt Cassel and EJ Manuel.

Taylor’s diverse skillset will certainly give opposing defenses troubles. In last week’s preseason game Taylor was 12-13 with 122 yards and a 20-yard touchdown.

Taylor’s first test comes against the Indianapolis Colts in the regular season opener on Sept. 13.
