Texans at Bills: Game Twelve Preview

Game Thirteen and the Buffalo Bills had a better record at this point a year ago.  If you listen carefully, you can hear the distant chuckle of Doug Marrone.  Not that Jacksonville is going places this year.  That said, the Bills are still mathematically alive, so here's what needs to happen Sunday to keep it that way.

If the Bills want to look in a mirror, this Sunday is the closest they're going to get.  The Texans are a team that hits offensively in spurts, feeds off of its Defensive line (read J.J. Watt and Clowny), and has been plagued by a Quarterback carousel for years.  Sound familiar?  If that wasn't enough, their biggest offensive threat is wide reciever DeAndre Hopkins, who was teammates with Sammy Watkins at Clemson.  To win, the Bills need to stop Hopkins and Watt.  Easy?  No.  But that is the only way the Bills get back on track and pray that they can salvage the season.

It's week thirteen, so this is pretty simple and there isn't that much to say that hasn't been said already.  Coaches coach better.  Defense defend better.  Running backs run better.  Kicker needs to definitely kick better.  And throw the ball to Sammy.  For goodness sake, throw the ball to Sammy.  That is all.  Enjoy the game.

Be ready to see Rex try to cover himself for mistakes made last week.  I'm hoping (much like everyone else) that Sammy has a stellar game, and I do mean entire game because we've seen what he and Tyrod can accomplish.  If the Bills want a blind shot at a wild card spot, this is their chance.
