Eichel's Homecoming Besieges Boston

Twas the day after Christmas, not a player was stirring. The Sabres were in Boston, and the fans started whirring.

In Jack Eichel's first game playing against his home-town team, the Sabres battled back and forth with the Bruins to earn a hard fought victory.  After going down two quick goals in the second period Buffalo surged forward earning 4 goals,  with Eichel having a multipoint game.

After all of the hype from our victorious game (however not on the score board) against Chicago before the break, this game was built to be a good one -even by the Boston Globe.  Notching goals 10 and 11, Eichel also slapped on 2 assists in the 6-3 victory.  Red hot O'Reilly also tacked on a couple goals with the help of Jamie McGinn and Evander Kane to fill the gaps.

One of my highlights from the game, and I'm sure Jack thought so too, was seeing a sign in the stands saying "I went to prom with Jack Eichel".  However,  I'd give it a few seasons and more goals against until Boston fans swap their clapping for heckling; see Patrick Kane.

Next up, a successful Capitals team who has just won their 7th consecutive.  Is Buffalo strong enough to end their streak?
