About The Team

KEVIN SISKAR

I spent the early years of my life growing up during the great years of NFL Super Bowl runs and Stanley Cup chases. Then I had to spend the next 15 years reconciling Wide Right, No Goal, the Music City Miracle, and overall lack of performance. Now I am a Buffalo Transplant living in New York City and watching Buffalo from the outside in. It's a full time job reminding the "New Jersey" Jets and Giants fans that the Buffalo Bills are New York States only football team.

I am a Tonawanda, NY native who graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education with a concentration in Health Education.  Throughout my time at SUNY Cortland, I stayed involved in the Athletics department and also co-hosted SUNY Cortland's number one radio show "Buckets' and Dan's Sportsland". During the three year period of the show co-host Dan Hannon and I have interviewed many Cortland athletes, coaches, as well as multiple iconic Buffalo sports figures such as Lindy Ruff and Danny Gare. Prior to that I interned at 1160 ESPN Ithaca.

"This is our year," seems to spew from my overly optimistic mouth at the start of every season, but I think that's the beauty of being a (Buffalo) sports fan. No matter how many times I am mistaken, that mantra will undoubtedly ring to commence every new campaign. This possibly naive faith is what has drawn me to sports my entire life, and has sent me on the path to pursue a career in sports writing. Though complaining gets a lot of face-time in sports talk, optimism and somewhat blind, but lovable faith is the true constant. I love Buffalo, and all of the sports within. And (between you and I) this is our year.

Avid Sabres fan. Convinced that Ville Leino dresses as Cody Hodgson every game.  Constantly working to build my skills.

Born and raised in Buffalo, NY and have been a Buffalo sports fan for as long as I can remember. Graduated from John Carroll University with a business degree. Also competed in Cross Country and Track & Field during my college years, earning All-Conference/All-State honors 6x. I consider myself an NHL expert and am very much into analytics and obsess over player value & salary cap.

I grew up playing Soccer and running Track, so I've always had a little more interest in the alternate sports scene than the average Buffalo fan. That doesn't mean that I'm not also a crazed Bills and Sabres fan with the usual number of half-baked opinions. Thanks everybody!

I'm currently at St. John Fisher and am a guy who has the passion of a hockey player and no skating ability. Talking Buffalo sports is a hobby and a lifestyle, and being able to blog about it is a privilege I love.

Being born in Buffalo,  I love everything Buffalo... Especially my sports! I'm a die hard Buffalo sports fan who loves my Sabres and Bills. With many disappointments including 4 straight Super Bowl losses, the music city miracle, no goal and the 05-06 Sabres eastern conference finals loss in seven games, I'm ready for sports to turn around  in the Queen City! Let's go Buffalo!
